The DOT Rwanda Youth Leadership Program 2026-2027 is an exciting initiative for young leaders passionate about digital inclusion, entrepreneurship, and community development. Implemented by DOT Rwanda under the Digital Skills for Employability (DSE) program and supported by the Mastercard Foundation, this program empowers youth to become changemakers in Rwanda’s digital economy.
Participants will gain leadership, digital, and entrepreneurial skills while supporting local businesses and communities. The program prioritizes young women, rural youth, persons with disabilities, and refugees, helping them access training, mentorship, and networks needed to thrive in Rwanda’s rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a university or college graduate aged 21–35, or a secondary school graduate aged 21–35 with at least two years of community engagement experience
- Currently not in education, employment, or training (NEET)
- Have basic skills in online collaboration tools such as Google Drive and Zoom
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Kinyarwanda
- Demonstrate passion for community empowerment, digital inclusion, and gender equality
- Be a resident of and willing to work for one year in one of the following districts:
- City of Kigali: Gasabo, Kicukiro, Nyarugenge
- Southern Province: Gisagara, Muhanga, Nyamagabe, Ruhango, Nyanza
- Eastern Province: Bugesera, Gatsibo, Nyagatare, Kirehe, Ngoma
- Northern Province: Burera, Gakenke, Musanze, Rulindo
- Western Province: Karongi, Rutsiro, Nyamasheke, Rubavu

Application Process
To apply for the program:
- Confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria and are willing to work in your selected district for one year

Successful applicants will participate in a structured training and mentorship program, combining virtual and on-the-ground activities to strengthen their impact on local communities.
