Rotary District 6220 has opened preliminary applications for the Rotary Global Grant Scholarship, a $30,000 international scholarship supporting graduate-level study abroad during the 2026–2027 academic year.

The Rotary Global Grant Scholarship is a competitive and prestigious funding opportunity designed for emerging leaders pursuing careers in international service, community development, and global problem-solving. The scholarship supports non-doctoral graduate programs that align with Rotary’s mission of advancing peace, health, education, and economic development worldwide.

Scholarship Funding and Benefits

Selected scholars will receive $30,000 to support graduate study in a foreign country where Rotary has an active presence. Eligible academic programs must begin no earlier than Fall 2026 and be completed by December 31, 2027.

Rotary District 6220 notes that funded programs must align with at least one of Rotary’s seven areas of focus, which include:

  • Peacebuilding and conflict prevention

  • Disease prevention and treatment

  • Water, sanitation, and hygiene

  • Maternal and child health

  • Basic education and literacy

  • Community economic development

  • Environmental sustainability

The scholarship emphasizes academic excellence, leadership development, and long-term global impact.

Rotary District 6220 clarified that Rotarians and their children or grandchildren, including individuals whose family members were Rotarians within the past three years, are not eligible for the scholarship.
